An excellent time was had by 10 bird watchers yesterday, Sunday, going by
ferry up the Molonglo River.

In all, 21 active darters nests were seen, with both parents and young
either on the nest or close beside the nest. Wonderful views of the birds
were seen. Also little black, little pied and great black cormorants were
nesting some in the same trees as the darters

Then, to top everything off, a Caspian tern was seen plummetting into the
lake when we were on our way back.

Thanks to Jack for organising the trip and to Jenny for leading it.

Sorry not to have said that it was rufous whistlers on the nest in CP a
week or so ago
