I was disappointed to record 1 spotted turtle dove in Hawker, Maroak st on
boxing day, two birds on 28th, and 1 on 1st. Calling.

On Boxing day I went to Mulligans flat. In the NE along the fenceline in
plantings of Eucs and acacias there were ~ 12 superb parrots eating gum nuts
and acacia pods. Also recorded many rufous whistlers, a leaden flycatcher male
on a nest and female nearbye, many white throated gerygones, 1 western
gerygone. 2 sacred kingfishers probably on a nest- calling very agitatedly so I
didn't hang around. 2 white winged trillers. Striated pardalote probably on a
nest. 2 sitellas. 5 common bronzewings. 1 white eared honeyeater. 1 king
parrot. Other usuals. Kookaburras and choughs.
