And the handicap principle book Geoffrey mentioned was available in academic
remainders in Garema place. For only about $15, a bargain I thought as the
authors were pivotal in the se#ual selection 'handicap principle' debate, so I
got one.
I went to Kellys swamp yesterday. From Cyngus hide you could see 3 (possibly 4)
freckled ducks on the small island. Some pink eared ducks, about 6 pelicans and
pairs of shovelers. A royal spoonbill was also preening with majestic head
dress, on the logs. No grebes at all, but probably on the sewerage ponds. Heard
a grassbird. Heaps of water. Oh and a brown snake I nearly stood on on the path
between C and Bittern.
