Apologies for all the errant question marks that appear in my posts to this listserv. My email service (America Online, unfortunately) cleverly adds them for me, after I click "Send". We can perform surgery with fiber optics and navigate via GPS, but we can't build software that simply sends a plain text message as it was originally typed.
