The 'Wings on King’ bird survey project on King Island, Tasmania, will be
undertaking the 2019 Spring surveys 7-10th November. Registrations are now
open https://www.birdsofkingisland.com/register
Associated events include dinner on Saturday evening. Speaker - Fred van Gessel
who will be on the island recording the King Island bird calls including those
of our two critically endangered KI subspecies - the King Island Scrubtit and
King Island Brown Thornbill. Sunday 10th: Field Trip, led by Mark Holdsworth,
Threatened Species Recovery expert, looking for these two CE species.
Discounted accomodation for registered Wings on King surveyors - here
https://www.birdsofkingisland.com/accommodation
We hope to see you there. Early bookings are recommended as there is limited
accomodation and flights available and with two international golf links in
full swing by November, both can be hard to find at the last moment. Wings on
King Registrations close on 31st October, 2019
