I'm very much hoping to have found the owner before then. R.

Hi Richard,

That's fine, considering the circumstances if you hand it in when next you
are in Perth the process will begin then.

Thank you

Hi Ryan.

Unfortunately that is more difficult than you might think.

I found it yesterday morning (a public holiday), had no car to be able to
take it anywhere, and shortly after flew back to Melbourne (where I live).
The monopod is currently in our unoccupied apartment in Claremont Quarter
and our next visit isn't until Christmas.

Regards.

Richard

Hello Richard,

Can you please hand the Monopod in to your nearest Police Station where
enquiries can be made and if the owner is unable to be determined after a
period of 60 days the Monopod will be returned to you.

Subject: Found at Lake Claremont (Perth) - a Manfrotto monopod

At around 10.00 yesterday morning (Monday 24th September - the public
holiday) I found a Manfrotto monopod at Lake Claremont in the Perth suburb
of Claremont.

After some consideration I decided it might be wiser to put it in a safe
place, rather than leave it where it was (I was concerned that a passer-by
might take it before the owner was able to return to retrieve it).

I have therefore put it in my Claremont apartment for sake-keeping and am
now trying to find the owner in order to return it to them.

I think it likely that it belongs to a bird photographer, rather than it
being used with a telescope.

It was on a seat overlooking the south-east sector of the lake adjacent to
the par 3 golf course and was not there the day before.

The owner, or someone who might know the owner, can contact me by email or
phone (0438 224 456) to retrieve it.

Please also feel free to disseminate this information via appropriate
channels in Perth (Facebook?)

I have also notified the Wembley police station.
