Each year at this time, a pair of Spur Winged Plovers do battle with a local
gang of S-C Cockatoos near Aldi at Canterbury in Sydney's inner west. The
plovers chase the cockatoos relentlessly. I think the plovers might nest on a
roof top nearby.
It started again this morning and will probably go on till the plovers hatch.
Would the cockatoos be a threat to the plovers' eggs? or are the plovers just
being plovers?
