This observation is at Jurong, which I assume is referring to the bird park
in Singapore. The species is a native Asian bird. If so, the observation is
not relevant to Aussie birds.

Do hope that someone captures these guys as they can populate an area in
several years.  There are similar species now in the UK that are now in
large numbers.  For the UK with no native species perhaps not so bad on the
environment but I would worry for the Aussie natives for sure.
