I would like to let everyone know of the changes that we will be making to
the organisation of Sydney pelagic trips with effect from January 2018. Hal
and I have been organising these trips for more years than we care to
remember and we have decided that it is the right time to hand over the
operation of the pelagic trips to someone younger who will ensure the future
of the Sydney pelagic tradition.

Greg McLachlan, with the assistance of David Mitford, has very kindly agreed
to take over the organisation of the trips into the future. Greg has
operated the Sydney Pelagic website for some years, something which he will
also continue to do. Hal and I will continue to come out on the boat on a
regular basis and enjoy the seabird and cetacean watching without the burden
of administration.

I would like to thank everybody for their fantastic support of the Sydney
pelagics over the years and hope that this support continues for a long time
to come - it is too important for our knowledge and understanding of
seabirds to let it drop. Hal and I look forward to catching up with all our
friends and acquaintances on the boat next year and we sincerely thank Greg
and David for stepping in and ensuring the future of the Sydney pelagic
operation.

All future bookings should be made through Greg at and
all details of the trips including all of next year's dates will be found on
the website at http://www.sydneypelagics.info

Have a great Christmas and a happy and healthy 2018.

Cheers

Roger
