A few names have recently been changed in the Working List on the Birdlife
Australia website. These follow recommendations of the English Names
Committee. A summary of the reasons for the changes is also posted on the
website.

The changes include 'Australian Painted-snipe' (for 'Australian Painted
Snipe'), 'Green Oriole' (for 'Yellow Oriole'), and 'Pied Stilt' for H
leucocephalus (in place of 'Black-winged Stilt'). At the subspecies level,
'Adelaide Rosella' has been reintroduced. The committee remains active, and
is about to consider further outstanding issues.
