thoughts on bird e-Guide Apps for iPad/iPhone

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone’s had any experiences with the bird guide apps that 
are currently available for iPads? I’m considering Pizzey and Knights Birds of 
Australia

 and/or the Morcombe and Stewart Guide to Birds of Australia 
<https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/the-morcombe-stewart-guide-to-birds-of-australia/id397979505?mt=8>

I currently use hardcopies of Simpson & Day Field Guide to Birds of Australia 
and The Slater Field Guide to Australian birds…

will either of the apps above allow me to replace the hardcopy books? 

Both apps seem to have a library of bird sounds and can be filtered by location 
to only show you species likely to occur in your neck of the woods….

I’d love to hear any “real world” experiences with either of these apps.
