Hello birders
I have an app called Bird Song Id Australia which is still in development. It
has recordings for just over 100 species and claims to be able to identify 25
common species from your own recordings. I haven't tried that feature yet.
The app is produced by Mullen & Pohland GbR (German) who have birdwalk
recognition apps for different countries. Many of the 25 species on the
Australian version look to be borrowed from the English version. The full list
is:
Common Myna, Australian Reed Warbler, Skylark, Brush Cuckoo, European
Goldfinch, European Greenfinch, Grey Shrike-thrush, Australian Crow, Grey
Butcherbird, Laughing Kookaburra, Eastern Yellow Robin, Australian Magpie,
Superb Fairywren, Noisy Miner, Superb Lyrebird, Golden Whistler, House Sparrow,
Fairy Martin, Eastern Whipbird, Red-whiskered Bulbul, Willie Wagtail,
Spotted-necked Dove, Common Starling, Rainbow Lorikeet, Common Blackbird.
Available on Appstore for $5.99
Happy birding
Tony Gibson
