I see they closed the road last night between Forbes and West Wyalong.
There has been water flowing over the road for a week or two on and off.

know it's Grand Final weekend...). Given the amount of water around in that
landscape, can anyone recommend somewhere interesting that I actually can go

Should be good birding along th Lachlan coming up.. Gee, it takes a lot of
water to get Lake Cowal running. Only seen it once, in the mid-late 90s. It
was over the Highway, then, and even Coaches were tip-toeing yhrough it. An
incredible amount of water. There will be a lot of swamps formed along the
course, by the time the head of the flow reaches Balranald.
