Martin/Andy (& list)
the big flock I didn’t check in detail as I was outside with no bins and was
heading off somewhere – late as usual; the size of flock did make me think
Little Ravens but the calls seemed quite deep – if they show up again I will
see if I can check them out, esp if they land where I can see if there’s any
wing shuffling. (For Martin – a Little Raven would be a good BaD bird for me –
not on my list of possibles...)
The smaller flocks are Aust Ravens – the ones that hang around at work and sit
in the trees near my house have big throat hackles and a deep caw. They are
also in looser flocks than the mob I saw this morning.
Cheers
Tom

That’s an unusual size for a flock of Australian Ravens in Sydney. I suspect
that small numbers of Little Ravens might be moving in to Sydney but can’t
prove it. I have possibly been hearing them in west Roseville over the past few
years. In my experience Little Ravens are more likely to flock in large numbers
than are Aust Ravens.
