Are you able to make a recording, Ruth? Terwit terwoo sounds too much like the 
stereotypical owl call for me to think of anything much else. It might be worth 
listening to some White-plumed Honeyeater recordings though (but note that 
they're variable, so you might find it's not an exact match). You could try the 
birdsinbackyards site or xeno-canto, there should be some on those.
