For those not following Facebook Twitchers group, a Red-necked Phalarope was
seen at Flat Rock, Ballina, NSW, late this afternoon.
It suddenly appeared just after 7pm. Was briefly seen feeding in a shallow rock
pool. It was very flighty, flying around the rock platform a number of times.
Last seen at 7:24pm. It could’ve still been there after that, but it was too
dark for me to relocate it. I’ve reported it to NSW Birdline, with a photo, it
should appear there soon.
