Oystercatchers

In early December last year I was surprised to find approx 180 South Island
Pied Oystercatchers resting on the roof of a large shed near Port Chalmers in
NZ (downstream from Dunedin, just next to the ginormous cruise ship terminal).
Several Kelp Gulls were also in evidence (including one nest: it was a huge
shed).
I have photos if anyone is curious: it was the largest congregation of
oystercatchers I've ever seen.
