Many birders have supported the campaign to protect the 200ha Yandina Creek
Wetland on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, which had provided refuge to
hundreds of migratory shorebirds and other waterbirds.

The wetland has been drained for the second time as government departments
pass the buck on who can do what. Advice here on how to write to the
Queensland Premier, asking for her intervention, along with the latest
(very disheartening) pics from the site, which this time last year was
teeming with waterbirds.
