Content preview: Hi all heard my first CBC and Koel of the spring this
morning.
Perhaps not unusual for this time of year in Sydney except: a.. in my 18
years in Turramurra/North Turramurra, I have never had my first record of
both on the same day (Koels normally, but not always, the first observed);
b.. this is the earliest for both species, beating previous earliest returns
by 2 days (CBC) and 10 days (Koel); and c.. both normally seem to show up
in my neighbourhood about 12-14 days after the first reports arrive from
elsewhere in Sydney – this year it was only 7 days or so. Waking to their
