For those who collect forage data: During the past week, Satin Bowerbirds
have been twisting the flowers off the Liquidambar. These seem to fall
?immediately to the ground, so the birds might be getting only a skerrick
from each one. The bees that mob the tree each year have not yet arrived,
so the flowers are unripe.
