Good Morning Everyone,

I know that you are aware of the stellar work that Greg Robert's has been
doing to save the Yandina Creek Wetlands. Most of you are also aware that
the wetlands were drained just over 2 weeks ago. Many of you have signed
Greg's petition to Greg Hunt, asking for intervention and funding at a
federal level.

BirdLife Australia and BirdLife Southern Queensland are also actively
involved in this campaign. If these wetlands are to be preserved we need
to influence the 3 tiers of government. I hope you will take the time to
follow the link below to our petition to Dr Steven Miles, Queensland
Minister of Environment and Heritage Protection urging him to provide the
financial assistance required to enable the Sunshine Coast Council to
purchase and permanently protect this nationally significant site.

You do not have to be a member of BirdLife Australia to support this
petition.

My apologies for any cross postings.

Kind regards

Judith
