Hi all
I've been contacted by a photojournalist for the Herald Sun wanting to do a
photo essay on urban wildlife. He is wanting to photograph birds and mammals in
a street setting in Melbourne city and suburbs. Eg a Tawny Frogmouth in a
street tree with houses in the background. He assures me it will be a
celebration of urban wildlife, not a demonization of them.
Does anyone have any reliable locations for raptors/owls/tawnies or other
interesting birds? Same for mammals - he really wants koalas, kangaroos &
wombats but I've told him that might not be possible.
If you can contact me, I can pass it on directly, or I can give him your
contact details so you can be present (to ensure the camera team behave.!) I
have already briefed him on good wildlife etiquette, but you can't trust
photographers (especially tabloid!)
All the best, Janine
