Wildlife Tourism: a Force for Biodiversity Conservation and Local Economies?

This question is posed by the title of Wildlife Tourism Australia's conference
to be held in Geelong in late September
Costs are being kept low to enable as many as possible to attend, and there are
some great keynote speakers from across several continents speaking on various
important aspects
Birdwatching (whether self-drive or on tours or staying at ecolodges), the
protection of bird habitats and conservation breeding and rehabilitation (and
general protection) of threatened species are all important aspects of wildlife
tourism.
