Hi Scott,
Crows used to sometimes take golf balls from a golf course across the road from
the house I grew up in. I imagine because the balls look like eggs. Perhaps
nests are a good place to try and crack the stubborn things open. How far away
is the nearest golfer?
Regards,
Alex

Subject: Golf ball in a nest!

Hi folks

I live in central Victoria. While collecting firewood I found a nest with a
golf ball in it. The nest was about hand size and 4m up. Any ideas about what
bird may have put it there?
