Superzoom cameras

I'm not a huge fan of superzoom point-and-shoot cameras (or "bridge cameras"
as the manufacturers like to call them). I think that too many compromises
are made with zooms of these ranges, and I think the sensors are too small,
resulting in too much noise, but one thing is for sure, within these
limitations they are impressive performers. Whilst I totally understand that
there are alternatives to Nikon and Canon (such as Panasonic, Sony, Samsung
and others), these two brands have a good proportion of this market.
