In case people haven’t heard, Ray Gobbe passed away last Thursday.

He was a fixture at Mistral Pt, Maroubra, of course, friendly and helpful
to all, alternately looking out to sea and feeding his ‘pet’ sparrow, or
[inadvertently] blowing cigarette smoke in one’s face [all is forgiven,Ray].
His friend Fiona says that there will be a commemoration this Saturday at
Mistral Point at 6 p.m. followed by a wake at his friend Graham's in
Balmain.
Fiona wanted the above to be circulated - I don't have the contacts, so
I’m putting this on Birding Aus.
Ray, you will be sorely missed.
