Hi John,
Unfortunately I don't know Geraldton that well in terms of birding, but there
are a few sites listed in the BirdLife WA guide for the area - see

The port and harbour areas are also worth a check - I don't know how much is
around normally, but they have turned up a couple of rare gulls
