Many thanks to all the BA readers who provided updates over the last couple of days on the doings of the LBD. Lots of reports of people seeing the bird this morning. I arrived from Sydney at 2:30 and the bird was not in sight of the few birders present at the southern end of the lake. On a hunch I we t to the SE corner where it was seen in the morning and walked north around the lake. I found the bird after about 1.5km. Absolutely stunning bird.
