The latest episode of Landline (Series 2014 Ep 40) has an good segment on feral 
cats and some initiatives happening in northern Tasmania. The feral cat segment 
starts at 18m:30sec.

It mentions the consideration of state governments (Victorian) to introduce 
Tasmanian Devils on the mainland to help combat feral cats devastating impact 
on fauna.
