That sounds like a great bargain. And you're right, the SX60HS was announced 
yesterday. I haven't read much about it, but apart from the zoom range being a 
bit wider and longer, the big improvement I can see for birders is that the 
electronic viewfinder resolution has increased from 202k dots to 922k. That 
should make the more distant birds significantly easier to find the bird in the 
viewfinder.
