Yesterday I was watching a Large-billed Gerygone nest in Cairns and was surprised to see that it was being "serviced" by three adults. On two separate occasions I had three adults either in, on or just above the nest at the same time. Is this normal? I could find nothing relating to this sorting of collective / co-operative breeding in any of the very limited sources I have available.
