Perhaps they have a tape marked 'SA Birds' in the sound effects file, and think it means South Africa, not South Australia?

Every time they go to Africa the soundtrack includes Rufous Whistler,
Brown Honeyeater and a lovely Gerygone call.

I recommend the doco if you can get past this annoyance.
