Sun 15 Jun	Regent Honeyeater (2) Chiltern Trail, Ingleside Also New Holland, White-cheeked, Yellow-tufted, Yellow-faced and Fuscous Honeyeaters. Red Wattlebird and Little Wattlebird, plus a flock of about 12 Cattle Egrets on a roof near Chiltern Road. Also heard Eastern Whip-bird and Eastern Spinebill. Ida Rohne
Sat 14 Jun	Regent Honeyeater (3), Little Eagle Chiltern Trail, Ingleside 3 Regent Honeyeaters plus White-naped, Yellow-tufted, Yellow-faced, White-plumed, Fuscous and Scarlet Honeyeaters. Little Eagle, Spotted Pardalote, Bar-shouldered Dove, Brown Thornbill, Eastern Spinebill, Little Wattlebird and Noisy Friarbird. Ida Rohne
	Australian Hobby Balmain Thanks to all the Noisy Miners going into alarm mode, an Australian Hobby seen flying low over College St. Balmain at about 10.00am today, heading north. Robert Griffin
	White-headed Pigeon Como, NSW 7 White-headed Pigeons (both adults and juveniles) observed adjacent to Novara Crescent in urban area sitting on powerlines. Seen just north of township. Susan Foyle and Deryk Engel
	Black Bittern Lower Pappinbarra One Black Bittern was heard calling at sunset. Wompoo Fruit-Doves, Regent Bowerbirds, Grey Goshawk were all present most of today, and two Noisy Pitta were seen moving to roost in dense low foliage at 5:18pm near the riverbank. Ian Kerr

Fri 13 Jun	Australasian Figbird Derby Street, Silverwater Large flocks (30+) of Australasian Figbirds have been feeding on fruiting White Cedars among landscaped paperbarks at my workplace recently. An interesting natural event for an urban industrial complex. Mark Fuller
	White-necked Heron Illawarra Hwy, Tullimbar 12 White-necked Herons seen while driving east on Illawarra Hwy, approx 4.40pm. Sighted on nth side of road in farm paddocks. 9 in one paddock and 3 in another, west of Albion Park. Paul & Carol Lynch
	White-bellied Sea Eagle Cecil Hoskins Nature Reserve Immature, flew in from east, perched in large gum tree for 18min, then circled over water landed briefly near waters edge. Then flew & perched in med sized gum tree on east side of water. Paul & Carol Lynch
	Regent Honeyeater Chiltern Trail, Ingleside Single Regent Honeyeater sighted (very briefly) at approximately 4:00PM and again at approx. 4:30PM. Same location as previous sightings. Stephanie Turnbull
	Red-kneed Dotterel, Black-necked Stork Hexham Nature Reserve, Newcastle, Hunter Valley During monthly wader surveys a massive count of 209 Red-kneed Dotterels within close proximity to each other, also a male Black-necked Stork. Steve Roderick
	Regent Honeyeater, Yellow-tufted Honeyeater Tanilba Bay, Port Stephens The single Regent HE was still present at the Tanilba Bay site in the early afternoon today. Despite a thorough search in nearby flowering Swamp Mahogany trees and through neighbouring forest we were unable to locate another bird. The bird is still favouring a small group of trees in the western end of the clearing at the sailing boat club grounds. A single Yellow-tufted HE was also seen, which is very unusual for this location, as well as quite a few Fuscous HE's (which I doubt are resident here). Finally, some Noisy Friarbirds were located, with 3 (silent) birds found. After searching many other areas of flowering Swamp Mahoganies (teeming with birds) on the Tilligerry Peninsula we found just the one additional friarbird. Mick and Steve Roderick

	Pink-eared Duck Centennial Parklands A pair of Pink-eared Ducks on one of the islands in the duck pond this morning. A pair was there last year from May to June . Bas Hensen
Thu 12 Jun	Double-barred Finch Rossmore A colleague of mine, who knows his finches, told me he saw about 30 Double-barred Finches on private property not far from Bringelly Rd. Lorne Johnson
	Glossy Black-Cockatoo Mumbulla Falls A number of Glossy Black-Cockatoos eating in the casuarinas around the car park. Melissa Mason

	Barking Owl Taronga Zoo, Sydney Barking Owl sighted by zoo bird keepers perched in trees on public path between Gorilla exhibit and new Lemur exhibit Michael Shiels, Dave Wilkin, Bird Show keepers
Wed 11 Jun	Eastern Barn Owl Near Penrith Whitewater Stadium Eastern Barn Owl calling frequently tonight. I spoke with a resident nearby who confirmed calling behaviour being similar over last couple of weeks. Ákos Lumnitzer
	Glossy Black-Cockatoo (3), Regent Honeyeater (2), Spangled Drongo Chiltern Trail, Ingleside Very happy to see Regent Honeyeaters (2 or more) returning regularly to the previously reported site between 8 and 10am, and 3 Glossy Black-Cockatoos (1 male and 2 females) on Chiltern Rd about 50 metres south of the gate feeding on Casuarinas on the eastern side. 	Crested Shrike-tit (1 male) Crimson Rosella (1) Sydney Olympic Park Went looking for Noisy Pitta unsuccessfully. Shrike-tit singing away and seen well at Newington NR back corner of Woolara. Third record for me. Crimson Rosella long term resident adult seen at Narawang Wetlands side of NNR. Other species included Eastern Rosella, loads of Musk Lorikeets, Hoary-headed Grebe, Australian Pipit, Golden Whistler, Brown Goshawk, White-bellied Sea-Eagle and Brown Quail. Dion Hobcroft
	Grey Goshawk (white morph) Glasshouse Rocks Beach, Narooma As reported last week by Tiffany Mason, the white morph Grey Gowhawk is still hanging around. Alerted to it by a mob of magpies taking exception to its presence. Melissa Mason
	Australasian Bittern Rowes Lagoon, Collector After dipping on the ACT Australasian Bittern, we decided to stop in on the more suitable habitat of Rowes Lagoon. Here we saw not one but three (!!!) separate Australasian Bitterns in the north-east quadrant. A dark-morph Little Eagle and a pair of Flame Robins capped off a fantastically successful visit. [Moderator's note (NH): There is a rest area off the Federal Hwy that overlooks the lagoon. This should be the best vantage point to spot one flying above the reeds - obviously dawn and dusk should be good] Ashwin Rudder, Joshua Bergmark, Max Breckenridge and Nathan Ruser
Tue 10 Jun	Wandering Whistling-Duck Tarro Swamp At least 120 Wandering Whistling-Ducks present - counted from a photo. About the same number also on 9 June. Stephen Wallace
Mon 9 Jun	Plumed Whistling-Duck Coleambally Massive number of around 4000 Plumed Whistling-Ducks on the ponds by the Kidman Way. A very impressive sight. Also 1 Australian Shoveler, 30 Pink-eared Duck, 23 Hardhead, 4 Hoary-headed Grebe, 1 light morph Little Eagle. Michael Ramsey
	Major Mitchell Cockatoo Campbells Swamp, Griffith Very excited to see a group of nine Major Mitchell Cockatoos here. One pair flew close overhead and landed on a dead tree for good views. Also 8 Glossy Ibis, 3 Swamp Harrier, 1 Australian Spotted Crake, 2 Mallee Ringneck, 2 Bluebonnet, 1 Singing Honeyeater, 1 wintering Rufous Whistler, 1 wintering Australian Reed-Warbler. 	Regent Honeyeater Tanilba Bay, Port Stephens Single Regent Honeyeater found by Shelly Zvingulis yesterday feeding in a flowering Swamp Mahogany in the grounds of the Tanilba Bay Sailing Club (at the eastern end of Peace Parade). The bird was there this afternoon. I did not hear it call once in the 30 min I was there and Shelly has not heard it call either. This is the first Regent Honeyeater to be reported in Swamp Mahogany this year, but I strongly suspect there are many others lurking in coastal areas feeding in these trees. Conditions along the Tilligerry Peninsula look great, with plenty of blossom available (and LOTS of lorikeets present). Interestingly, there were wattlebirds, White-cheeked Honeyeaters, a couple of Yellow-faced Honeyeaters etc, but no friarbirds present (and I did not hear/see any in the other areas I checked today). 	White-winged Chough, Scarlet Robin High Range 10 White-winged Choughs on Wombeyan Caves Rd. 3 Scarlet Robins and a White-eared Honeyeater at the same location. Lorne Johnson
	White-naped Honeyeater (30), Pacific Heron, Spotless Crake (5), Little Lorikeet (30+) Warriewood Wetlands A large flock of White-naped Honeyeaters was seen this morning at Warriewood feeding on the Mahogany flower as well as 4 Fuscous, 2 White-plumed, 3 Scarlet, 30+ White-cheeked and hordes of Yellow-faced. Whilst in a paddock at the end of Banksia Parade a Pacific Heron was seen well foraging amongst the long grasses (a Pacific Heron was seen at this exact location exactly 1 year ago). Also in Warriewood Wetlands 3 Spotless Crakes were seen from close range (about 3-4 metres away at eye level) whilst at least 2 more were heard. An update from my previous report of Little Lorikeet, 20+ Little Lorikeet have been present at the wetlands for about 1 month now mainly hanging in the mahogany flowers near the water quality ponds. 	Superb Parrot Orange Four Superb Parrots flying north, unusual for this time of the year. Could be due to the mild winter conditions. N. W. Schrader
Sun 8 Jun	Bar-shouldered Dove, Southern Boobook, Mallee Ringneck, Varied Sittella Binya State Forest Calling along Pine Road. Extreme southern edge of range here. Also 1 Southern Boobook, 2 Mallee Ringnecks, 1 Singing Honeyeater, 6 Varied Sittella, 1 Inland Thornbill and Chestnut-rumped & Yellow Thornbills. [Moderator's note (NH): While this is indeed the southern edge of its range, Bar-shouldered Dove is known to occur at Binya State Forest] Michael Ramsey
	Superb Parrot, Bluebonnet, Singing Honeyeater Coleambally A good sized flock of 31 seen north of the township by the Kidman Way. Some observed feeding on mistletoe berries. Also 2 Bluebonnets and a Singing Honeyeater. Michael Ramsey
	Freckled Duck, Superb Parrot Maynes Lagoon A solitary Freckled Duck was found among a small flock of other waterfowl (including 8 Pink-eared Duck). 2 Superb Parrots were observed flying overhead and heard calling. 200 Pied Cormorants were also present. Also 6 Emus, 2 Bluebonnets and 1 Australian Hobby. Curtis Hayne

Sat 7 Jun	Freckled Duck Lake Narrabri 6 Freckled Duck loafing on the island where cormorants, Australasian Darter and Cattle Egret roost. Lots of Musk Lorikeets, Magpie Geese and Pink-eared Duck. Gabrielle Rees
