Anthea, Try looking at the MODIS website. They have  satellite images of
Lake Eyre. When I was working in the area, I found their images really
useful to get up to date information on water coverage and vegetation
condition (through NDVI). Sorry I don't have a direct link anymore.

Is there any water in Lake Eyre at present?  I assume not.
Has anyone any information about current conditions, birds and other fauna?
