I was at Lake Eyre and Lake Eyre South recently. I couldn't see any water
in Lake Eyre but Lake Eyre South definitely had water, if a long way from
shore.

I stayed near a bore-fed waterhole so the birdlife probably wasn't typical
for the area under normal conditions.  I did see several Inland Dotterels;
not a species I have seen that often before.

Other wildlife included lots of Dingoes (on the wrong side of the Dingo
Fence), Red Kangaroos and one Painted Dragon.

Cheers

David
