There is one Australian record. Up five birds were present on Lord Howe Island March-August 1950. See Hindwood & Cunningham (1950), Emu, 50, 23-35, or McAllan, Curtis, Hutton & Cooper, (2004), 'The Birds of the Lord Howe Island Group: A Review of Records', Australian Field Ornithology: 21 Supplement.
