The following is a digest of Sightings Reported on Birdpedia for the period
Monday, May 5, 2014 to Sunday, May 11, 2014:

Area: SA

Date: Monday, May 5, 2014

Location: On our property at Rockleigh

Stubble Quail (Coturnix pectoralis) (2)

Eurasian Skylark (Alauda arvensis) (1)

Australian Pipit (Anthus australis) (1)

Pipits have occasionally been seen since the mid-January fire, but stubble
quail and skylarks have taken a long holiday. The skylark was up in the sky
singing just as before. We still have no habitat you would think quails,
skylarks and pipits would choose, just clumps of native grasses all of 5cm high
with big gaps between, but the wanderers have come home. A Red-Letter day
indeed.
