Hi all, Full trip reports to come when they are done (there's still some discussion to be had), but some preliminary highlights from the Albany pelagic trips run over the weekend included: Saturday 3rd: Wandering Albatross [sp] (3-4) Campbell Albatross (2) FAIRY PRION (1 - this is a very good bird for WA!) Slender-billed Prion (1 - TBC) Antarctic/Salvin's type Prion (1 - TBC) Wilson's Storm-Petrel (c. 500) BLACK-BELLIED STORM-PETREL (40) SOUTH POLAR SKUA (1 - probably a second too, unfortunately only seen briefly) Sunday 4th: Wandering Albatross [sp] (1) Soft-plumaged Petrel (1 dark morph) Wilson's Storm-Petrel (c. 500) BLACK-BELLIED STORM-PETREL (20) Little Shearwater (35, including quite good views of this notoriously frustrating species!) SOUTH POLAR SKUA (2 - again only seen quite distantly) ARCTIC TERN (3+) Cheers John _______________________________________________ Birding-Aus mailing list To change settings or unsubscribe visit: http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org |
