Thanks Sue  Good luck!  My contacts didn't know anyone up there. 

If you need to pay for services I'm happy to chip in.  I'm sure others in the birding community would do so as well - so don't let that stop you.

You are doing a great thing.  It is a horrible way for any creature to die, and should be avoided wherever possible.  Unfortunately, you and the Cockie are paying for the carelessness of others.  Those of us who love nature and feel empathy end up spending hours of our time and plenty of money to do the right thing, but it shouldn't stop us - if the rest of the world was the same it would be a much finer place.
