I was in the Border Ranges a fortnight ago (camped at Forest Tops
campsite). I got lucky with a rufous scrubbird crossing the road on the
Brindle Creek loop. Heard at least 2 others on the loop. (at the top of the
range - before the Antarctic Beach Lookout).
No luck with the Albert's Lyrebird though - other people who were camped at
Forest Tops had seen one crossing the road somewhere in the park (I did see
three a couple of days later at Witches Falls Section of the Tamborine
National Park)
