The first week and a half of the Victorian duck season has seen 100 dead 
Freckled Ducks retrieved from only two wetlands.
Other protected species shot and retrieved include a swan, 5 Eurasian Coots, 3 
ravens (unknown species) and a Great Crested Grebe as well as several dozen 
'game' species, shot and discarded.
