G'day Malcom

Bush Thick-knees seem to do quite well in human modified environments - I think they like grassy environments. Virtually all the thick- knees I have seen have been in urban, suburban and rural residential areas. I have even seen one within a stone-throw of the Brisbane CBD.

Regards, Laurie.

I observed a silver lining on the weekend, considering what is a bleak outlook for many native avian species. Two Bush Thick-knees literally within a small NSW town situated on the Murray River. One can only hope.
