Hi Ross,

Robyn Pickering reports the crakes are mostly in the 
north and east at present, but they will move around the lake depending 
on the water level. Any area with mud or very shallow water on the edge 
of the reed beds is a good bet.

As an aside, are you aware of the
 BirdsWA list and Google Group. Similar to Birding-Aus but you'll 
probably reach more WA birders (nothing against Birding-Aus of course, 
well worth posting to both)
