Today I visited the newly created wetlands at the Parklakes real estate
development on the Sunshine Coast. This is an impressive effort on the part
of the developers and a fine example of what is needed to temper the
environmental consequences of urban sprawl. I had several Spotless Crakes
and Baillon's Crakes close up. Other nice birds including Little Grassbird,
Latham's Snipe and Wandering Whistling-Duck.
