Little Curlew (1) Seen just inside western entrance to rodeo grounds to right of gate. Not common in this area.

Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfisher, Red-necked Crake
Stewart Creek Road, Daintree
At least 2 Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfisher calling at dawn this morning towards the end of Stewart Creek Rd, 8km from Daintree village. Also heard a single Red-necked Crake. (Moderator Note:- At least 4 Buff-breasted Paradise-Kingfisher seen at this location on 6th November and two heard calling on the 2nd November which was 1st recorded for this season).

Budgerigar, Banded Honeyeater, Diamond Dove
Kondaparinga Road, north of Mt Carbine
Several small flocks and a couple of larger flocks of Budgerigar seen during a morning along Kondaparinga Road,(which leads to Hurricane Station). Diamond Dove seen in a few places and a single Banded Honeyeater.

Mungalla Station (Forrest Beach, Queensland)
Juvenile Ruddy Turnstone feeding on mud, lower lagoon, at Mungalla Station this morning; observed with Sharp-tailed Sandpipers and Red-necked Stints, but flying apart. This species not previously recorded here.

Southern Cassowary
Dubuji Boardwalk, Cape Tribulation
Single Cassowary seen sitting in mangroves at low tide in mid-afternoon. Also heard Red-necked Crake calling from this same location in the evening.

Millaa Milla
1 heard, but never seen, calling 3 nights in a row and 1 morning. Along the creek between the Tourist Caravan Park and the Golf Course.
