Sun 10 Nov	Black-breasted Button-quail Inskip Point Kim Cumes
Sat 9 Nov	Marbled (Plumed) Frogmouth D'Aguilar National Park (Mount Glorious) Heard at least two but likely three Marbled (Plumed) Frogmouths. 4+ Southern Boobooks. No Tytos. Mammals: Red-necked Pademelon (2), Short-eared Brushtail Possum (1), Common Ringtail Possum (2) and - interestingly - a smallish mouse which wasn't a House Mouse. We saw it either twice or there were two individuals. Small with large head, large eyes, tail longer than body. We have photos and will try to ID. Reptiles: Major Skink Egernia frerei. Frogs: Red-eyed Treefrog Litoria chloris, Pearson’s Treefrog L. pearsoniana, Peron’s Treefrog L. peronii and some kind of Froglet Crinia. Nikolas Haass & Raja Stephenson
	Ground Parrot Cooloola Way Three Ground Parrot flushed in Heath on right of track down to the pump house. Also Black-breasted Button Quail at Inskip Point. Geoff Walker, Kay Parkin, four birders from Harvey Bay/Bundaberg region

	Cotton Pygmy Goose Jaenkes Lagoon 2 pairs of Cotton Pygmy Geese. Tom Tarrant, Gopi Singaravel, Raja Stephenson & Nikolas Haass
	Black Falcon Lake Clarendon, Lockyer Valley One Black Falcon family: Old very grey male, female moulting primaries and rectrices, and two fully fledged juveniles. Other falcon species in the valley: Brown Falcon, Australian Hobby & Nankeen Kestrel (one of which tried to catch a Brown Quail but was not successful). 	Pale-yellow Robin Bymien Park Rainbow Beach Kim Cumes
Fri 8 Nov	Square-tailed Kite(s) Mt Glorious and Samford Great views of a Square-tailed Kite just before Maiala Picnic Ground at Mt Glorious on 8 November. Flying quite low over open land before flying across road into forest. A new species for this site for us. Then this morning just opposite site for Samford Markets saw a Square-tailed Kite being mobbed by Torresian Crows and an Australian Magpie. Could be same bird as not far between sites as the 'Crow (or Kite) flies. Gavin O'Meara and Judith Hoyle
	Glossy Black-Cockatoo Cainbable, Lamington NP Rd A pair of Glossies feeding beside the road about 2km below Cainbable on the way up to O'Reilly's. Nick Leseberg
	Sooty Owl, Marbled Frogmouth Duck Creek Rd, Lamington NP A Sooty Owl seen briefly at the junction of Duck Creek Rd and the main road to O'Reilly's. Marbled Frogmouths calling a little further down the main road. Nick Leseberg
	Square-tailed Kite Moggill Rd, Bellbowrie A pair of Square-tailed Kites are about to fledge one young from their nest on private property near Bellbowrie, and can be seen quite regularly along Moggill Rd. Nick Leseberg
	Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Coombabah Lake, Gold Coast A large flock of 315 birds, feeding on the mudflats Terry Dillon
Thu 7 Nov	Australian Painted Snipe Mount Lindsay Highway, Tamrook Farm Dam behind Tamrookam Primary School Swamp is drying and vegetation is taller than earlier sightings; birds can easily hide. I scanned just before sunset and saw 5 APS cross a gap in the cover, 1 female, 3 males, 1 undetermined. They were under the powerline that crosses the swamp on the north side of the school grounds. Wed 6 Nov	Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo Nathan Road Wetlands Reserve, Kippa Ring Early morning visit to this site and this bird was unexpectedly sighted on the ground close by. Other birders included Rita Larsen, Sue Lee, and Wendy Wilesmith. Vince Bugeja

Tue 5 Nov	Bush Stone-curlew (Bush Thick-knee) Translational Research Institute, Dutton Park Train Station, Woolloongabba Update from #201116/#202357: After over a week with daily acoustic evidence but no sightings, tonight I saw both adults with both chicks again (now likely four weeks post-hatching). Mon 4 Nov	Spotless Crake Minnippi Parklands, Tingalpa, southern Brisbane Three birds seen near viewing platform Jim Sneddon
	Tawny Frogmouth East Brisbane After midnight, a pair of Tawny Frogmouths duetted for about an hour at our place. The male perched on our roof, the female on a nearby tree. Nikolas Haass & Raja Stephenson
Sat 2 Nov	Marbled Frogmouth O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat Heard late in the night and early morning. Jed Knight
