there is a Queensland Rarities Appraisal Committee and as with the NSW ORAC we 
work in close association with BARC. Contact details of the Queensland Rarities 
Appraisal Committee can be found either on the Birds Queensland Website or by 
contacting me directly.

Yes thanks, that clears up a lot of things, Mick. The key parts for me are that 
it's not part of any other organisation, and works with BARC to avoid 
duplication.

What I don't know is if there are similar committees in other states.

Why do I need to know? Just curious.
