Thu 26 Sep Long-toed Stint, Australian Painted-Snipe Alice Springs Waste Stabilisation Ponds
Long-toed Stint (1) Single bird in EP7 among Sharp-tailed Sandpipers. Australian Painted-Snipe (1) Male bird. Flushed from near the bench seat on EP7a. Allowed quite close approach later on before flushing to land on open mud bank immediately below the date palm.

Wed 25 Sep Australian Painted-Snipe, Black Falcon Alice Springs Waste Stabilisation Ponds
All morning visit. Warm and clear with slight breeze. Australian Painted-Snipe (1) Male bird. EP7a directly opposite the bench seat. Photographs and video footage taken. Extraordinarily cryptic initially and spotted by complete fluke. Later came well out into the open. Black Falcon (1) Single bird giving great views circling with a Whistling Kite low over EP10
