Ronda,

The first CBCs usually arrive in NSW in the last week of August/first week of 
September (at least over the last pentade). 
Having said that, I think that there are some data indicating a trend towards 
earlier arrivals in the last decade or pentade. Don't have the literature here.

Isn't this very early to be hearing them in NSW?

I thought I heard one just north of the Qld border a few days ago, but thought 
it would be too early - I don't think we usually see them until October, or at 
least late September
