Shy, Black-browed, and Indian Yellow-nosed Albatross, and Australasian Gannet
The Nut, Stanley
On a VERY windy day, we found three types of Albatross, and Australasian Gannets, feeding and soaring in quite close to the eastern end of the nut. Observed from near the "fishing" wharf were approximately 4 or 5 Shy, 3 Black-browed, and 4 Indian Yellow-nosed Albatross, and had fly-bys of about 8-10 Gannets. We could only stand to stay out in the wind for approximately 20 minutes, so there could well have been more of these species, though numbers did seem to be dwindling as we left. Most were heading generally in the direction out away from Eastern Inlet, past the end of the Nut, and out towards open water.

Masked Owl
Margate
Masked Owl (1) Went outside to shut our chickens in their house for the night and immediately heard repeated screeching which required investigation. With a short uphill walk above our home we located the beautiful female who gave us a few minutes of her time before moving on.

White-necked Heron
Alonnah, Bruny Island.
White-necked Heron (3) In roadside paddock just east of Alonnah town boundary. Seen initially at 1pm and were still present feeding when I passed again at 4pm.
